AMTA to Honour Past President


Brad Fleet, of MCTi, will be retiring from his position as well as his marine association responsibilities at the end of June. In recognition of his dedicated service to the industry over the years, the Atlantic Marine Trades Association (AMTA) is hosting a retirement celebration for him on June 2.

Fleet has long served as a leader for the marine industry in Atlantic Canada, holding the position of President of the AMTA from 2011 to 2014. He has also worked as Chairman of the Halifax International Boat Show Committee and served as an elected member of the show’s Board of Directors for many years.

AMTA’s retirement celebration for Fleet will take place at the Mug and Anchor Pub at 643 Main St, Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia on Friday, June 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

All AMTA members are invited. However, those wishing to attend  should contact the association and indicate if they would like to bring a guest.

The Atlantica Oak Island Resort, on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, has offered a room rate of $169 for those planning to attend from out of town. The rate includes breakfast, parking and WIFI. Reservations may be made by calling the hotel directly at (902) 627-2600.
