The American Boat Builders and Repairers Associations’ (ABBRA) Certified Marine Service Managers Course (CMSM) is scheduled to take place from October 16 to 20 in Sidney, Vancouver, BC, hosted by Quadrant Marine Institute.
ABBRA offers an extensive leadership training for boatyard operators that provides an industry recognized credential.
Employers know that they need a strong leader to manage their team of competent certified technicians, who support productivity and keeps the team focused on success. ABBRA teaches the leadership skills required to operate a boatyard, a service department, a boatbuilding, or large refit project.
Event organizer say the course will offer boatyard operators the opportunity to professionalize their staff as well as improve the efficiency and profitability of their businesses.
The CMSM course will focus on boatyard operations, leadership and time management skills, policies and procedures, human resources, health and safety, environmental compliance issues, teambuilding, and financial management. It is taught by a group of industry experts from both the US and Vancouver area.
Space is limited. The deadline for registration is October 3. The cost for registering is listed at US $1,250. For additional information, click here.
