Horizon Yachts, the Kaohsiung, Taiwan-based superyacht builder, marks 30 years in business in 2017.
“We look forward to 2017, our 30th anniversary year that is sure to bring continued success for Horizon,” says Horizon CEO, John Lu.
Over the past three decades, Horizon Yachts has grown into one of the top 10 luxury yacht builders in the world (number five based on total length produced in 2016) and possibly the largest builder in the Asia-Pacific region. In March, the company reported a global order book containing 22 projects ranging from 79 to 136 feet.
Over the course of its 30 years, the company reports building and delivering more than 780 yachts, including its flagship EP150 expedition superyacht, to owners around the world. It has also unveiled innovative new designs, and expanded its network to offer sales and support to clients in 60 countries.
Horizon made two major model introductions this past December: hull one of the E98 motoryacht “Do It Now” (launched in February) and the CC110 “Abaco.” The E98 is the bigger sister of the company’s E88 model designed on a 23’ 2” beam. “Do It Now” was personalized around the tastes of her second-time Horizon owner, from the Walnut wood to the extended salon design on the main deck.
Horizon will also celebrate in this special milestone with numerous events this year. Details on specific events will be posted on the company’s website.
