2011 Victoria Harbour Floating Boat Show To Be Biggest Yet

The 21st Annual Victoria Harbour Floating Boat Show, scheduled to be held from April 28 to May 1 inclusive in Victoria's inner harbour, is shaping up to be the largest yet in the event's history.

“In addition to having the greatest assortment of boats ever featured, our land-based display section has grown significantly, and now includes a full array of products and services focused on meeting the needs of boaters for the upcoming season,” says Show Manager, Kathy Harvey.

Show visitors will have the opportunity to peruse upwards of 200 new and pre-owned boats, inclusing inflatables, aluminum fishing boats, cruisers, kayaks and yachts to 70 feet in length. “Part of the attraction of the show for first-time boaters is the opportunity to view so many different kinds of boats and find the one that will meet all of their needs,” notes BC Yacht Brokers Association President, Kevin Pritchard.

Van Isle Marina Yacht Sales, Western Canada's dealer for Riviera luxury cruisers, will show a mix of new and pre-owned Riviera yachts along with select brokerage vessels at its floating display, says Greg Andrews. The company will also show video presentations of Riviera's much-anticipated 43-foot Open Flybridge IPS model, along with its 53-foot Enclosed Flybridge pod propulsion model featuring a full beam master stateroom with king-size bed.

Len Baronit, President of Yacht Sales West, said his company will offer a number of new sailboats at the show. “Late last year we acquired the Catalina dealership for BC … we will be displaying the Catalina 355 and Catalina 455, and this years new Bavaria 45 and 32 Cruiser.”
