Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Canada Hall of Fame. The due date for nominations is October 1.
"The NMMA Canada Hall of Fame is the Association's highest honour and a way to recognize the significant contribution from one of our industry leaders,' said Sara Anghel, Executive Director of NMMA Canada. "NMMA Canada encourages its members to nominate an individual for this prestigious award.'
Suitable nominees for the NMMA Canada Hall of Fame include those who have, or those who continue to generate substantial and lasting contributions toward the advancement of the marine industry. The NMMA Hall of Fame was established in 1988 and is the association's highest honour. It recognizes individuals whose achievements are synonymous with the pursuit of quality, innovation and perfection within their respective spheres of expertise.
The recipient of the award will be announced at NMMA Canada's Industry Breakfast, which will take place on January 14 at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto.
NMMA Canada's most recent inductee for the award (nominated in 2012) was Chris Goulder, former President of Volvo Penta Canada. During Goulder's 33 years in the marine industry he served as Director and Chair on many industry boards, including the British Columbia Marine Trades Association (BCMTA), NMMA and Discover Boating. In 2008, he was the recipient of the BCMTA Industry Leadership Award and CASBA Marine Professional of the Year.
