The American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) has created a pathway to certification that is quicker and more affordable. The association is offering aspiring certified technicians the opportunity to reach their goal with just one day in a classroom.
The Michigan Boating Industries Association will host an ABYC Marine Electrical Certification ‘Fast Trac' session at the Recreational Boating Educational Conference (RBEC) on December 12 at 9:00 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel Lansing at the Capitol in Michigan.
The single day course with ABYC instructor, Ed Sherman, is designed and intended for those with a minimum of three to five years of practical experience in the field of marine electrical design, service or installation.
The ‘Fast Trac' is an option where most of the study work is done independently and students come together for just one day for review and testing. Students can communicate with the instructor and ask individual questions via email during the study period preceding the review/test day. Additionally, students will have unlimited access to two prerecorded webinars by the instructor.
ABYC members and members of the Michigan Boating Industries Association can register for US $495, while non-members can register for US $750.
