The Atlantic Marine Trades Association (AMTA) has named Jason Craig of Quartermaster Marine in Charlottetown, PEI its new President. Outgoing president Brad Fleet remains on the AMTA's Board of Directors.
The association made the announcement at its Annual General Meeting on November 6 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
AMTA also named several new Board members including Kathryn Newell of Iron Wind Marine, Bobby Mitchell of GE Finance, Chip Dickison of the Nova Scotia Boat Builders Association and Norman Wiechert of NewStar Scooter and Marine, who join Brad Fleet of MCTi, Suzanne Rent of Metro Guide Publishing, Lee Toole of Stright MacKay, Tara Mills of Seamasters Services, Derek Bennett of the Town of Lewisporte, Blair Gallant of Mercury Marine, Terry Conrad of Conrad Marine, and Mark Wareham of the Marine Institute.
The association's president serves a two-year term.
