Collierville, TN-based resin manufacturer AOC has announced another price increase, effective June 22, 2011.
Product shipped after that date will increase in price by approximately $0.155 per kilo. “This price announcement is driven by continuing price increases for several key ingredients,” notes a company announcement. “These increases are impacted by a variety of factors including petrochemical feedstock changes, manufacturing plant maintenance outages, and various other issues limiting operating capacity. Furthermore, the chemical industry continues to implement modifications allowing additional similar feedstock changes in the future. Additionally, dicyclopentadiene, propylene glycol, ethylene glycol, epoxy, bisphenol A, and methyl methacrylate have risen to historically high prices.”
