The BC Marine Trades Association (BCMTA) has announced that NMMA President Thom Dammrich and Internet marketing specialist, Tod Maffin will be keynote speakers at its upcoming Industry Conference. The event will be held on November 30 at the River Rock Resort Casino in Richmond, BC.
Dammrich will highlight some of the strategies that have helped re-shape and strengthen the future of the recreational marine industry. Dammrich was instrumental in uniting the industry and increasing the number of people who participate in recreational boating in North America with the launch of the first-official national advertising and marketing campaign in 2006, the Grow Boating Initiative.
Maffin will discuss the impact that social media and online marketing has had on the recreational marine industry and the potential benefits to your company's bottom line if adopted. He will speak about how businesses can evolve their marketing, sales and business strategies to include online opportunities. Maffin writes a blog followed by many in the media, technology and business communities around the world. He reports on national technology trends on CBC Radio and is the past host of tod radio dot com and Real Life Chronicles.
Other items on the conference agenda include two one-hour interactive workshops focusing utilizing social Media within your marketing strategy, and a session highlighting some of the best ideas, practices and people of our industry.
The event will also feature an open discussion shirtsleeve session on any subject related to the recreational marine industry. Microphones will be set up throughout the room so everyone will get a chance to participate in the meeting.
