Boat Manufacturer Buyers Group Extends Contract with ASA Electronics

American Boatbuilders Association (ABA) has announced an extension of its existing contract with Elkhart, Indiana-based ASA Electronics, a supplier of audio and video products. The two organizations have worked together for four years and now extend their supply agreement for an additional four years.

ABA currently consists of approximately 19 major independent boat and yacht manufacturers based in the US.

"The ABA is pleased to extend our agreement with ASA Electronics through 2020,' says ABA President, Jay Patton. "ASA is an outstanding supplier and we appreciate the technical expertise, customer service, and overall value they bring to ABA Members. ASA's commitment to new product development keeps ABA members on the cutting edge of audio systems technology.'

Consisting of a group of well-established boat builders, the ABA's aim is to obtain the highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost through collective buying power.

"We are proud of a successful four years with the ABA,' says ASA Electronics' Marine Industry Manager Matt Wood. "We are looking forward to continued growth and are excited about the opportunities in front of us through this partnership.'

ASA Electronics has been designing and manufacturing electronic products since 1977. Its proprietary brands include Jensen, Jensen Marine, Jensen Heavy Duty, Marine Audio, Voyager and Advent. ASA is also a distributer in specialty markets for SiruisXM Satellite Radio and Polk Ultramarine products.
