Boston Whaler, Edgewater, Florida, has announced the newest addition to its lineup for 2013. The 270 Dauntless joins the family of the company's top-selling 230 Dauntless.
"The 270 Dauntless builds upon the comfort and aesthetically appealing nature of the entire Dauntless family,' said Jeff Vaughn, Boston Whaler's Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service. "With this boat, you'll get more space, more storage, upgraded helm seating and leaning post, and you can cruise farther thanks to its size and larger fuel capacity. In true Dauntless spirit, the 270 is equipped for everything from offshore fishing runs to entertaining to watersports – and looks stylish doing it all.'
The new Dauntless provides a spacious bow area, forward port and starboard seating with folding backrests and a full-width aft bench seat that converts to a casting deck. It features a bow anchor locker with overboard drain, and a storage garage for up to five rods and other gear.
One of the 270's new key features is the helm seat, which has an integrated leaning post with cooler, rod holders, storage and grab rail. A choice of two deluxe leaning post options adds either a 30-gallon livewell or a three-drawer storage compartment, 35-quart cooler, sink with freshwater and pullout sprayer.
An integrated hardtop can be added, which includes cockpit floodlights, red and white dome light, lifejacket storage and four more rod holders.
