BRP Launches New Evinrude E-TEC 135 H.O. Outboard Engine

BRP, Sturtevant, Wisconsin, has officially introduced its new two-stroke 135 H.O. Evinrude E-TEC outboard. BRP's North American dealers can order the new 2.6-litre, V6 outboard immediately, with deliveries beginning in January 2013.

"Whether it's freshwater fishing, pontoons, bay and flats or inshore and offshore saltwater applications, the 135 H.O. will fit most every type of boating activity in this horsepower segment,' explained Karl Sandstrom, Product Manager for BRP's Outboard Engine Division. "The Evinrude E-TEC 135 H.O. is ideal for boaters who want maximum power and performance, and it easily excels against competitive 100hp to 150hp outboard engines.'

According to the company, the 135 H.O. will have several notable features including: 36 percent more torque than competitive 150hp 4-strokes, a 418-pound weight – offering a good power-to-weight ratio, a true High Output Alternator, a multi-point oiling system, and 3-Star CARB compliant clean technology.

The engine comes with a factory-backed, three-year non-declining warranty and three years or 300 hours with no dealer-scheduled maintenance. BRP says the 135 H.O. is factory-tuned for high performance applications. It's available in four configurations – 20-inch white, 20-inch blue, 25-inch white and 25-inch white counter rotation.

BRP's Evinrude engine line-up includes outboards ranging from 3.5 to 300 horsepower.
