Brunswick Awards Scholarships To Children of Employees


For the 55th consecutive year, the Brunswick Foundation has awarded a total of 70 scholarships to sons and daughters of Brunswick Corporation employees, including four Canadians. Each will receive a single-year scholarship of $2,500.

The winners span across 36 Brunswick locations worldwide, and represent the Company's corporate staff as well as all Brunswick business units: Brunswick Boat Group, Brunswick Bowling and Billiards, Life Fitness and Mercury Marine. Canadian recipients include Sabrina Boucher, daughter of Princecraft Boats employee Marc Boucher, Princeville, Quebec; Frederike Cote-Fortier, son of Princecraft employee Lynda Cote; Marc-Gabriel Samson, son of Princecraft employee Mireille Gentes; and Katherine Suitor, daughter of Tom Suitor, Mercury Marine, Milton, Ontario.

Uninterrupted for 55 years, the Brunswick Foundation has honored this commitment,' said B. Russell Lockridge, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Brunswick and a Foundation Director.

The Brunswick Foundation has been awarding scholarships to the children of Brunswick employees since its inception in 1957. In total, the Foundation has awarded more than $10 million in scholarships during that time.
