Buckeye Marine, Bobcaygeon, ON, raised $12,000 at its fifth-annual Night at the Movies Product Preview and Charity Event held earlier this month for The Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation, which is seeking to obtain an MRI/Catscan unit.
This year Buckeye matched the $6,000 dollars raised through donations, as well as live and silent auctions. To date, the event has raised nearly $40,000 for charity.
“For the past three years Buckeye has matched whatever is made at the event,” said Carly Poole, Buckeye Marine's Maketing Director. “The first year we held this event we raised funds for Red Cross for disaster relief. The next three years went to the Children's Wish Foundation.”
“This year, all of our parts distributors sent us auction items,” says Poole, “as did Yamaha Motor Canada, Princecraft and Volvo Penta. I'd also like to thank Northstar Marine Insurance, CC Marine Distributors, Kimpex and MD Marine Insurance for their support.”
