The Calgary Boat and Sportsmen's Show opened yesterday to good crowds thanks to favourable weather. A slow mid-afternoon gave way to busy aisles as the after-work crowd arrived to take advantage of a 9 pm closing time.
With more than $16 million worth of boats on display, including one of the most extensive selection of wakeboard boats anywhere, the show is the largest boating event in southern Alberta. “It's a good event for us,” says Vector Powerboats President, Rex Jardine. We have sold our last couple of 28's to customers in the Calgary area, so we're here with that boat and our larger 40 on display. Calgary is a strong boating market.”
The show runs through Sunday at the BMO Centre in Stampede Park.
