Canadian Boat Shows, organizer of the Vancouver International Boat Show has announced that the event will be held from January 21 to 25 at BC Place and Granville Island in Vancouver, BC.
Historically, the show has taken place in February but moved up to late January last year.
The National Marine Manufacturers Association Canada (NMMA) recently announced its plans to offer on-water boating clinics at the Vancouver show after receiving funding for Discover Boating hands-on skills training.
The Discover Boating Hands-On Skills Training program will provide both new and experienced boaters the opportunity to get behind the helm and receive on-water training on safe boat handling at the Vancouver event as well as at the Montreal In-Water and the Toronto International boat shows until 2016.
NMMA says the program has been successfully offered at dozens of its boat shows throughout the United States and has trained thousands of boaters.
