Canadian Boat Shows Inc. (CSBI) is seeking to hire a Show Manager for the Metro Vancouver, BC, area. CSBI is the producer of both the Vancouver International Boat Show and Toronto International Boat Show.
Position responsibilities include the planning, organizing, revenue and production of the Vancouver International Boat Show. The ideal candidate will focus on exhibit space sales, develop new prospects and maintain existing customers. The job also involves profit and loss accountability as well as budget development and management.
The Show Manager will report CSBI’s President/Show Director.
Essential skills required for the position include strong sales relationship management; a high working knowledge of marketing, operations and budget management; strong leadership; self-motivated; a team player; a willingness to work flexible hours; and the ability to excel at working independently in Vancouver.
Candidates must have a post-secondary education and a minimum of five to eight years of event management and sales experience. Experience with the Microsoft Office is a must. The position will require some travel.
