This Sunday, October 31, the 2010 Canadian Marine Trade Show opens its doors at the 50,000 square-foot, Hall 5 of the International Centre, in Toronto Ontario.
Organized by C.C. Marine and CMC Electronics and sponsored by Yamaha Motor Canada, the show will feature more than 100 vendors and will provide marinas and marine retailers the best incentives to place orders for next year's boating season.
“Attendees will have the opportunity to see new products for this year, educate themselves on what's available and interrelate with their peer group,” describes Show Manager, Bruce Hamer. “There is also a significant incentive to buy at the show at this time of year. Our booking program comes out after the show but the deals at the show are better than that.”
Last year, event organizers reported that orders were up as well as an increase in attendance. With the Canadian dollar presently nearly at parity with the US dollar, the potential for show growth is promising this year as well.
“The stronger Canadian dollar might enhance our orders this year because our customers are getting better value,” notes Hamer. “Obviously, a strong Canadian dollar can also be a double-edged sword in that some consumers may cross border shop, so hopefully what our customers save by ordering at our show will trickle down to the consumer.”
