Canadian Outboard Shipments Up in May


The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) reports that through May, wholesale shipments of outboard engines in Canada were up by double digits compared to last year.

According to the association's control group of manufacturers, shipments were up 13.9 percent R12M YOY (rolling 12 months year over year). Corresponding dollars were up 27.5 percent. Warranty card registrations were up 1.8 percent.

Additionally, in late June the NMMA announced that wholesale shipments of diesel inboard and sterndrive engines (less than 800HP) grew 7.5 percent YOY among its control group of manufacturers in the first quarter of 2016.
