Candock Signs Five-Year Agreement to Supply Docks at Ironman Mont-Tremblant

Candock, Sherbrooke, QC, will be the official provider of docks for the Ironman Mont-Tremblant being held at Tremblant Lake in Quebec on August 19. The modular floating dock maker has signed a five-year agreement with the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) to care for the event's dock requirements.

"We will be supplying docks for use by the event's VIPs and the media so they can monitor the departure of the swimmers,' says Eric La Violette, Candock's Business Development Manager. "We'll be set up in different areas on Tremblant Lake. We shipped out a full flatbed of our dock cubes for the event. We're supplying between 3,500 to 4,000 square feet of dock this year.'

La Violette says this agreement represents significant business for Candock and believes the event's publicity may open doors for the company to supply its product for other such events in the future. "This event offers Candock huge visibility,' says La Violette. "There will be tourists from all over as well as other organizers of ironman tryouts from around the world.'

The Ironman Mont-Tremblant challenge consists of 3.86 km of swimming, 180.2 km of cycling and 42.2 km of running. The swimming portion of the event begins on the beach and tennis club next to Tremblant Resort, and ends at Parc Plage.

Boat manufacturer, Princecraft, is listed as one of the event's sponsors.
