The Muskoka In-Water Boat and Cottage Show and Muskoka Ribfest held annually in Gravenhurst, ON, will now be owned and operated by Cannorth Shows Inc. in Toronto, Ontario. Nori Richens will serve as Show Manager and Managing Partner.
Ian Forsyth, President of Caneast Shows Inc., Ottawa, Ontario and Peter Kiddell, President of Canwest Productions Inc., Calgary, Alberta, made the announcement. Caneast Shows has produced the show for the past three years and Forsyth will continue to consult and advise on the operations of the show.
"The new structure of the company will not change anything for our exhibitors and sponsors,' says Richens. "We have a great team in place and will continue to build on the growth and success of the show.'
Kiddell and Richens, who both have extensive experience operating shows in Western Canada, jointly own Cannorth Shows. "We're just in the process of lining up this years features,' says Kiddell. "We are definitely putting more resources in to marketing this year, to continue the show's growth. Last year was definitely our best year. We have had numerous requests for more and bigger exhibit space.'
Richens, who has been involved with the Muskoka In-Water Show for the past three years, will be responsible for handling the show's sales, promotions, sponsorships, features and day-to-day operations from her office in Toronto.
Others involved with the show's operation include Kevin Blackburn, returning as Operations Manager; Breanne Blackburn, returning as Food and Beverage Manager; Sean Libin, as Advertising and Marketing Manager; and Louis Kiddell, responsible for grassroots promotion and marketing.
The 5th Annual Muskoka In-Water Boat and Cottage Show and 6th Annual Muskoka Ribfest will take place from July 26 to 28 inclusive in Gravenhurst, Ontario at the Muskoka Wharf.
