Caravelle Powerboats has new owners. Brothers Eugene Sak and Duane Sak, of Florence, AL, concluded a deal to acquire the company on November 11.
The Sak brothers, who own other businesses in the elevator and metal fabrication industries, will focus on building smaller inboard models in the 18- to 23-foot range, aimed at a price-sensitive customer. “A known brand like Caravelle makes it easy for dealers to sell to the cost-conscience consumer,” said Duane Sak.
The new company, described as “dedicated to the dealer-distribution model,” has not confirmed plans for Canadian distribution.
