Chaparral Boats Inc. recently took 150 of its dealers for a tour of its jet boat line at the company's Advanced Sales Seminars in Valdosta, Georgia. During the event, dealers were provided the opportunity to test drive the fibreglass boat builder's new 203 Vortex.
The just christened 203 Vortex is the first entry in a three-boat series, which will also soon include the 223 Vortex and 243 Vortex.
The 203 features bold new graphics, flexible seating and BRP's Rotax jet drive propulsion.
"The introduction of our Vortex jet boats gives us one of the most diverse and complete product lines in the marine industry' said Jim Lane, Chaparral's President. We feel our partnership with BRP, supplier of the Rotax engine, will be a winning combination in this fast growing segment.'
Dealer representatives who test drove the Vortex shared their initial reactions after the experience.
"It was simply amazing. Maneuverability was better that any jet boat I've driven with ride and handling to match,' says Jim Marshall of Pride Marine Group, which has multiple dealerships in Ontario. "I feel that the Vortex line gives Chaparral a quality and performance edge that will dominate the jet boat market.'
"I was truly amazed by everything about the 203 Vortex,' says Dave Briggs of Wayzata Marine in Wayzata, Minnesota. The styling is phenomenal, the boat has a wonderful layout with lots of storage and it performed very well on the water.'
The Vortex 203 to debut at 15 boat shows in early 2014.
