Oconto, Wisconsin-based KCS International, owner of Cruisers Yachts, has formed a new long-term sales and service agreement with Crate's Lake Country Boats, a fourth generation boat dealer based in Orillia, Ontario.
"This new relationship will allow us to continue our growth in the Canadian market,' said Dan Zenz, Vice President of Sales. "We are excited to be partnered with such a strong dealer serving Central Ontario. Crates Lake Country shares the same values as our company by providing exceptional sales and service to their customers. I strongly believe our existing clients will benefit from their dedication to service.'
"We are very excited to be once again associated with Cruisers Yachts and Cruisers Sport Series,' said Brian Crate, Principal at Crate's Lake Country Boats. "Years ago, we were a Cruisers dealer and I am glad to be back doing business with such a wonderful company. Our customers will benefit from the expanded product line Cruisers Yachts has to offer as well as their history of building a quality yacht.'
Crate's Lake Country will begin carrying 2015 model year Cruisers Yachts and Cruisers Sport Series later this month and will have them on display at the Toronto International Boat Show (TIBS) in January.
The appointment of Crates Lake Country Boats as a Cruisers Yachts dealer follows the bankruptcy of Crate Marine Sales in November. Crate Marine Sales, formerly based in Keswick, Ontario, offered the Cruisers Yachts brand as well as Regal, Carver and Marquis. Although the two businesses share the Crate name (through family ties) both were independently owned and operated. It still remains to be announced which dealers will represent Crate Marine Sales' other former brands at TIBS.
KCS International Inc. owns Cruisers Yachts, Cruisers Sport Series and Rampage Sport Fishing Yachts brands. Cruisers Yachts builds midsize luxury pleasure yachts from 31 to 54 feet in its Oconto facility. Its Cruisers Sport Series ranges from 20 to 32 feet, while its Rampage Sport Fishing Yachts express and convertible vessels range from 34 to 45 feet.
