Dealers attending the Bennington Marine 2013 Open House, wrapping up Tuesday at the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana, have been kept busy as the company introduces a significant range of new models and design features for the coming year.
"The response from the dealers has been, in a word, dramatic,' says Bob Spencer, President of The Dockside Group, representing Bennington in eastern Canada. "This represents the largest number of model changes and feature additions that Bennington has ever undertaken. Between the new stern-radius seating models, new club seating, and the new wake towers and sport towers, there truly is something new and exciting for every sector of the marketplace.'
Bennington is showing no less than 53 models on display at the RV Hall of Fame site, with an additional six boats in the water for product demo rides at nearby Diamond Lake.
One new model drawing strong interest from Canadian dealers in attendance is Bennington's new-for-2013 2550 RCB model, featuring a unique, mid-ships refreshment centre. With an integral Dometic refrigerator, removable barbecue and LED-lit, tiered counter design with twin, removable bar stools, the new R25 brings improved versatility and adaptability to the ‘bar boat' concept.
"It used to be when a Canadian dealer came to a show like this, they looked at the entry-level models only,' says Spencer. "But the pontoon market has continued to mature and grow in Canada, so we're seeing growing interest across all of the products, from the entry-level to the top-of-the-line.'
The 2013 Bennington Marine Open House wraps up on Tuesday, August 28. Watch for full details in the November issue of Boating Business.
