Discover Boating Canada to Host Anti-Spam Legislation Webinar on May 29

The Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) comes into effect on July 1. If your business sends emails or texts from or to Canada for commercial purposes, CASL will most likely apply to you. As a result, Discover Boating Canada will be hosting a 30-minute webinar addressing the issue on May 29.

Space is limited, so reserve your seat now at: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/769447793

The free webinar will be hosted by Tracey Hart, Director of Marketing for Discover Boating Canada, and presented by Lonnie Brodkin-Schneider of Miller Thomson LLP, a national Canadian law firm. It will cover basic CASL requirements and how to ensure your marketing efforts are compliant.

The webinar is scheduled to touch on best practices for how businesses should gather emails and send marketing newsletters. Lonnie Brodkin-Schneider is a business lawyer with Miller Thomson and has considerable expertise in intellectual property and trademark law, including marketing, advertising, packaging and labeling, and French language law. She has key practice expertise in Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and is on the Miller Thomson, LLP national CASL advisory team.
