Interested in exporting goods to US customers? A free webinar presented by Export Development Canada explains the ins and outs of US logistics and trade compliance, making cross-border trade faster, easier and less expensive by selling on a duty-delivered basis, which means that the seller bears the risks and costs, including duties, taxes and other charges of delivering the goods. Participating companies will find out which customs compliance and documentation requirements need to be met so that their products reach their customers without disruption. Also, the webinar will share common solutions to logistics challenges as well as tips on how to reduce international transportation costs.
Scheduled speakers include Jim Trubits, Customs Broker and Certified Customs Specialist, Mohawk Global; Mary Mokka Trade Commissioner, Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo; and Guillaume Parent Trade Commissioner, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. The presentations will be followed by a 20-minute question-and-answer period.
This free webinar will be offered on Wednesday, June 23 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm EST. You have to pre-register by June 22, 2010, by clicking here.
If you can't make it to the live session, the webinar will be available for on-demand viewing through the Virtual Trade Commissioner. Participants may also download the presentation slides in both French and English.
