NMMA President Thom Dammrich, will address Boating Writers International (BWI) members and industry guests during an annual meeting February 17 at the Miami International Boat Show. Dammrich's remarks will focus on what he hopes will be the media's role in an emerging, decade-long effort to revitalize and grow the boating industry.
In mid-December, Dammrich drew 160 members of the recreational boating industry to Chicago for the Recreational Boating Stakeholder Growth Summit.
The summit's program included discussion on emerging recreational boating trends and changing demographics in the US. "I think a lot of participants were shocked at some of the missed opportunities, industry trends, and overall need for our industry to adjust to the changing population,' noted Dammrich.
The upcoming meeting at the Miami International Boat Show will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Miami Beach Convention Center in Room A 201-202. The event is open to the marine community and requires no ticket for admission.
