Hutchings Marine Products' 6th Annual Shirt Sleeve Training Sessions are scheduled to return to the Muskoka Boat and Heritage Centre in Gravenhurst, ON March 4.
“This year we're having more factory reps coming to do these presentations,” said Judy Semple, Hutchings Marine's co-owner and secretary treasurer. “With talks ranging from an overview of current market conditions to misleading green marketing claims, and issues ranging from ignition components to all aspect of fibreglass fabrications. New products will be introduced and special pricing made available.”
Dealers can expect hands-on training and interaction with factory reps from leading manufacturers including Captain Phab, CDI Electronics, Marine Electrical Suppliers (MES), Kwik Tek, Mas Epoxies, Sierra/Teleflex Marine and SpillGreen. While the event will not include a trade show this year, Hutchings is pleased to announce that there will be five informative training sessions presented by seven notable speakers.
Among the speakers are, Craig Willoughby, president of Captain Phab, discussing misleading green marketing; Thomas James, CDI Electronics' sales marketing manager, covering the company's expanding line of Quick Strike Ignition components; and Brad Ketai, Kwik Tek factory rep, showcasing the company's new 2009 product lineup. There will also be presentations by MES' factory rep, Alan Karafin, on the benefit of MES to dealers; MAS Epoxies's CEO J.B. Currell, covering proper repair techniques using epoxy resins; Sierra/Teleflex Marine's assistant sales and product manager, Bill Walker, covering current market conditions and new product; and SpillGreen's president, Glenn Burton, demonstrating how to clean up fuel, oil and acid spills.
