Interlux Yacht Finishes is now seeking entries for its 2012 Waterfront Challenge, which offers grants worth up to US $20,000. The goal of the initiative is to encourage as many people as possible to improve their local waterfront.
Interlux will present regional US $4,500 grants to the best submitted projects in seven regions including Canada, the Caribbean, Mid Atlantic US, Mid West US, West Coast US, Northeast US and South East US. A separate award of US $20,000 will be presented to the project determined to be the best by Interlux. The grand prize winner is not eligible for the regional grant.
Any group of three or more people seeking to improve the waterfront in their area can participate, and submitting an entry is free. Participants must photograph the area they've improved before and after their environmental efforts, and then send the photos along with a description of the group and its cleaning work to Interlux by no later than September 2.

The regional and grand prize winning groups will be recognized during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida on October 27.
