January and February Marine Training Opportunities


Marine Systems Training Center in Thomaston, Maine will be offering several courses through January and February that Canadian marine industry professionals may find of interest. Training opportunities include:

MIG Welding
January 11 to 13
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Cost: US $750 (US $695 for enrolling two or more)

The New England School of Metalwork's Mobile Weld Training Center is offering hands-on welding training. The course will take place in a fully equipped mobile welding training center at Marine Systems Training Center's location in Thomaston. All safety equipment and materials will be supplied.

Hydraulic Foundations/Components and Troubleshooting
January 27, 2011 (Hydraulic Foundations)
February 3, 2011 (Hydraulic Components and Troubleshooting)
8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Cost: US $85 per class or US $150 for both

Joe Brown, a Regional Fluid Power Specialist for Motion Industries, will conduct these workshops. Brown supports customers in the field with design, engineering and training of fluid power applications and systems. The workshops are appropriate for anyone requiring a working knowledge of hydraulic system functionality including, installation, design, troubleshooting & maintenance. This is a combination class that includes two half days of instruction on the following:
