Aluminum boat manufacturer Aluminum Chambered Boats (ACB), Bellingham, WA, has announced that Jim Moore, President/COO will assume the primary leadership role of the company.
Moore takes over the responsibilities of ACB's founder, Larry Wieber, who will continue serving on the company's Board of Directors.
“We're taking a new direction, looking at how to drive revenues in new areas,” comments Moore. “We have introduced a less customized recreational offering that includes more standard features. During the Seattle Boat Show at the end of January we introduced a new 25-foot model, the 2500 Explorer, with a lot of value features that our customers were looking for. The boat offers a lot of space, especially in the V-berth, and it was positively received. We've already sold eight units.”
Moore explains that ACB has simplified the number of customizable options on its newest recreational model and made more items standard. “Our new 2500 Explorer is standard with electronics, a trailer and a single 225-hp outboard engine. Overall it's a better base package than what we've done in the past.”
