Marquis/Larson Boat Group (LBG) wrapped up its 2016MY dealer meeting in Fort Myers, Florida at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa in early August. This year, the annual event attracted more than 60 of the company's dealers as well as 30 vendors and a dozen media members.
A few Canadian-based dealers notably stood out among the boat builders top performing partners.
Go RV & Marine, with locations in Nisku and Leduc, Alberta, was honoured as being Larson's top dealer in Canada and the world last year. The multi-store dealer is also carries Thunder Jet and Lowe boats at its Alberta-based locations: Edmonton, Red Deer and Peace River.
"We primarily focus on Larson's runabout boats in our market,' explains Dean Goerzen Go RV & Marine's Operations Manager. “Larson's LSR series has been a very popular line for us, which has become sportier over the years with the addition of wake towers and new graphics. They've been a very progressive company since the 2009 economic downturn.'
Dewildt Honda and Powersports in Hamilton, Ontario was recognized as Larson's Western Canada Retailer of the Year for the 2015MY. Boisvert Marine in Sorel-Tracy, Québec, received a similar award for Eastern Canada and Maritimes Region.
During the meeting, four new boats were introduced and were available for test, including the Larson LXH 190 OB, Larson LXH 190 I/O, Striper 270 Walkaround and Striper 270 Center Console. The company also announced plans for a new Striper 270 Dual Console and a Carver C50 Command Bridge, both out early calendar year 2016.
"Our focus and message this year was about progress and our collective strong momentum based on the foundation we established last year in San Diego,' says Marquis/Larson Group President and CEO, Rob Parmentier. "Our dealers, vendors, media and employees are truly our partners in success and we wanted to share in our individual, as well as collective achievements from last model year as we move forward, together into 2016.'
"The attitude and enthusiasm from the meeting of the dealer network with the direction of company leadership, the new boats we introduced in Florida and our product enhancements resulted in strong annual forecasts and initial 2016MY orders for the first half of the model year,' notes Marquis/Larson Group's Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Pat Blake.
