Mercury Marine, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is introducing a newly designed top cowl for its 8hp and 9.9hp FourStroke outboards. The engine manufacturer has also created new graphics for its powerful and precise 9.9 Pro Kicker outboard.
The new top cowl features a contemporary and forward-looking design that aligns with current styling for Mercury's FourStroke outboard lineup. Mercury says its cowls are constantly evolving from a styling perspective and this new design reflects that evolution.
The new graphics on the 9.9 Pro Kicker are also said to align with the new "Pro' series of Mercury tournament-angling outboards as well as harmonize with larger FourStrokes that typically provide the main power for competitive anglers.
Decals for the standard 8.0 and 9.9 did not change.
The cowl and graphics changes to these engines are global and will be available to customers this summer.
As with other engines throughout Mercury's 2.5hp to 350hp outboard lineup, the 8hp and 9.9hp outboards are covered by the company's anti-corrosion protection.
Mercury Marine is a US $2 billion division of Brunswick Corporation.
