METS Adds Opening Hour and Adjusts Entry Policy

Organizers of the upcoming METS show have announced the event will open one hour earlier on November 20 and professionals can visit the show free of charge only if they pre-register online. METS 2013 will take place from November 19 to 21 at the Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre.

At the repeated request of both exhibitors and visitors, METS will now open at 9:00 a.m. instead of 10:00 a.m. on November 20. "Early Wednesday morning many meetings take place on the show floor. Dealers and distributors wish to attend meetings on the stands but we cannot allow them access as the show is still closed for visitors,' says Irene Dros, Domain Manager Maritime. "By opening one hour earlier we can allow visitors access without putting too much strain on the exhibitor workday'.

Professionals who pre-register online, do not have to pay an entrance fee. Visitor registration onsite is no longer free of charge. At the door, visitors with an official invitation card pay € 65 to register onsite. Without a card the entrance fee is € 200. "METS is a well attended show and we use the data visitors provide us online to keep the quality of attendance up,' adds Dros. "The charge for visitors without an invitation card is intended to keep out consumers.'
