A new smart phone app launched by the Miami International Boat Show offers visitors another method of accessing information on the show's features and product. The show runs from February 17 to 21 inclusive at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida.
Compatible for both Apple and Android smartphones, the app offers users searchable exhibitor and seminar lists as well as the ability to locate specific boats and brands on the show floor. Users will also find event-related news postings and maps for four different areas of the show.
“With the number of smart phones expected to exceed one billion, and mobile Internet usage expected to surpass desktop usage by 2013, the next natural step is for boat shows to go mobile. With the introduction of the Miami Boat Show app, we're creating a new, much needed way for consumers to shop the show and engage them in the boat show experience,” said Carl Blackwell, Chief Marketing Officer.
