Monterey and Roswell Collaborate on New Wake Surf Models

Monterey has introduced its new Roswell Surf Edition boat packages. Combining Monterey's Super Sport series with Roswell's tow sport technology, the two companies collaborated on the new series that's designed for boaters who enjoy a variety of on-water activities, including wakeboarding and wake surfing.

The new Roswell Surf Package option will be available on Monterey's 218SS and 238SS Super Sports models.

For watersport enthusiasts, both vessels will are available with one-touch Zero Off GPS speed control, a high-volume ballast system, collapsible wakeboard tower (with cam assist), wakeboard/surfboard racks and surf tabs.

The company anticipates the package's Roswell graphics, metal flake gel coat options and specialized Roswell audio system will further enhance the appeal of the 218SS and 238SS.

Each Roswell Surf Edition will be available with Volvo Penta's latest forward-facing propulsion system (introduced in February at the Miami International Boat Show). Forward Drive features duo counter-rotating propellers and offers a symmetrical wakeboarding wake as well as a shaped surfing wave on the driver's side of choice. The system's through-the-drive exhaust also keeps fumes away from riders and reduces overall noise.

Monterey Boats, an independent boat manufacturer, currently builds 26 fibreglass models ranging from 18 to 41 feet in length. The company says that during its 31-year history it has produced more than 35,000 boats, generating over US $1 billion dollars in sales.
