In addition to showcasing more than 100 boat and cottage exhibits, this year's 2nd Annual Muskoka In-Water Boat & Cottage Show, Muskoka Wharf, Gravenhurst, ON, will be held in conjunction with the Muskoka Rib Festival, July 24 to 26.
Boatmax, which exhibited at last year's show, plans to exhibit new Doral models as well as units from Rossiter Boats.
“We're going to bring high-end stuff,” said Boatmax's general manager Mark Sanderson. “We'll also be bringing something bigger than we did last year. We plan to have two cruisers there.”
The show also promises to feature a large selection of models. According to Jeff Dixon, Gordon Bay Marine's marketing director, the dealer plans to bring a little more than a dozen models including Bayliner, Boston Whaler, Formula and Malibu models. While Bruce Reid, sales for Walkers Point Marina, says that the Marina will be exhibiting several Scout, Cobalt and Ebbtide units.
Originally known as the Gravenhurst Rib Fest, the Muskoka Rib Fest will be returning to Muskoka Wharf for its third consecutive year.
“The adding of the rib fest brings more to what's happening at the wharf that weekend,” said Glen Cooper, the Muskoka In-Water Show's manager. “So our attendance will definitely increase. We've created an area for artists as well as a crafts area, displaying everything from jewelry and clothing to wooden carvings and ceramics. We're trying to give people more reason to come.”
This year's show will feature the Muskoka Cottage Brewery Lounge where visitors can purchase food and refreshments from vendors; entertainment including the Jeff and John Young Band – July 24, and Dockside – July 25; an assortment of boat classes including runabouts, pontoons, cruisers and ski and wakeboard boats; and an arts and crafts pavilion showcasing local artisans and artists.
