Mustang Survival's Rick Cassels Inducted into NMMA Hall of Fame

During the NMMA Canada's Industry Boating Session at the Allstream Centre in Toronto this week, Mustang Survival's Major Accounts Manager, Rick Cassels, was inducted into the NMMA Hall of Fame by longtime friend and colleague Brian Milligen, Mustang Survival's Director of Sales – US Recreation and Canada Recreation/Professional markets.

With Mustang since the early '90s, Cassels forged strong relationships countrywide with both retail business and training associations such as Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons (CPS-ECP), the Red Cross and the Lifesaving Society. He was also a part of the team that pioneered inflatable PFDs in Canada.

Cassels' legacy also includes a commendable commitment to making a difference through volunteering. He served four years as director on the Canadian Marine Manufacturers Association (now known as NMMA Canada); eight years as director on the BC Marine Trades Association; and since 1999, as a board member on the Canadian Safe Boating Council. Cassels is Vancouver region organizer for Ready Set Wear It and the kickoff to Safe Boating Awareness Week; a founder and volunteer for Boat for Hope (since 1999); and supporter of the Rick Hansen Man in Motion Tour.

Established in 1988, the Hall of Fame Award is NMMA's highest honour.  Last year, Victor Duhamel and Carl Dewar, the owners of Legend Boats, shared the induction honour.
