Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada (WSWC), Ottawa, ON, announced in early April it has renewed a multi-year agreement with Correct Craft, which will see Nautiques competition towboats continue to be used as the exclusive official towboat and presenting sponsor of the 2010 and 2011 Canadian Water Ski and Wakeboard Championships.
“We are delighted to continue our long term relationships with the good people and product of Correct Craft,” said WSWC Executive Director, Dan Wolfenden. “This agreement ensures that our championship competitors receive the highest standard in towboats. The financial investment enables us to stage quality championships and to help develop and grow the sport in Canada.
“Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada and Correct Craft have partnered for the last?21 consecutive years,” added Wolfenden. “It's a great relationship built and maintained over a long period.”
With over 31,000 registered members, Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada is the recognized national sports organization for waters skiing, wakeboarding and other organized towed watersports. Canada's record of success on the world stage is nothing short of impressive: 47 world championships gold medals, 122 total medals in the world championships, and 27 Pan Am Games medals since 1995.
“We are extremely excited to continue our longstanding partnership with WSWC and provide the highest quality boats for the Canadian Championships,” stated Nautique President/CEO Bill Yeargin. “We look forward to continuing our support in growing and promoting towed water sports in Canada,” Yeargin added.
Competitors at the Canadian Wakeboard Championships will ride behind the Super Air Nautique 230, while skiers competing for medals at the Canadian Water Ski Championships will be towed through the slalom, trick, and jump courses by the Ski Nautique 200.
