Navico has announced that it has partnered with distributor CMC Electronics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Esterline Corporation, to centralize Canadian distribution of products within its brands effective October 4. CMC will have exclusive distribution rights for the Lowrance, Simrad, and B&G brands, making the distributor the sole source for Navico-owned marine electronics brands in Canada.
CMC has warehouses in several provinces, including Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, British Columbia and Newfoundland, which is one of the reasons why Navico is confident that the distributor is well positioned to support the requirements of handling its brands. “CMC's new association with Navico represents a tremendous opportunity for the Lowrance, Simrad and B&G brands through enhanced customer and technical support, strategically warehoused inventories and streamlined warranty-replacement programs for Canadian dealers,” said Louis Chemi, Navico Americas' Chief Operating Officer.
Navico and CMC Electronics have entered into discussions on how to best integrate Navico's operations in Canada into CMC in order to ensure a smooth transition for sales, logistics, and customer support.
“We are excited about expanding our relationship with Navico, its products, resellers and customers,” said Bill Coady, General Manager of the NavComm Electronics Group of CMC. “By partnering with Navico, we are now able to offer a complete line of products to all sectors of the Canadian marine electronics industry markets.”
