The 2009 Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show (MAATS) will be hosted in Orlando, FL, July 15 to 17 at the Orange County Convention Center. Once again, the show will be held in conjunction with the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST) and will include The National Marine Distributors Association (NMDA) S.T.E.P. Conference.
“Orlando is a natural fit for MAATS not only for its proximity to so many marine and outdoor retailers but also because of the strong boating community that stretches throughout the city,” said Ben Wold, executive vice president of the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), which owns and produces MAATS. “We expect 2009 to be a pivotal year for MAATS with exhibitors bringing extremely fresh, innovative products to help our industry and the boater adapt to the shifting boating environment.”
Among the many show events, MAATS will host its annual Welcome Reception and Awards Presentation, scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on July 15 along with The Buyer-Supplier Meetings, which are considered to be one of the most beneficial programs offered at the show. The Buyer-Supplier Meetings allow accessory suppliers to meet with buyers in private meetings and share information and showcase new products. The meetings are held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on July 15 and July 16 and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on July 17.
New Product Previews are also scheduled from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. each day of the show while the S.T.E.P. Purchasing Meetings are from July 13 to 14. S.T.E.P. purchasing is strictly for NMDA distributor and manufacturer members.
The show is open July 15 and July 16 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and July 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
