The early-bird attendee registration deadline for the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Conference and Expo is Friday, July 19. Those attending the conference, which runs from September 25 to 28 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina in San Diego, California, can save US $100 on their registration before the deadline.
The marine electronics show will feature a full lineup of education classes, manufacturer sessions, technology briefs and NMEA standards meetings scheduled over the show's four days.
Detailed descriptions of the 15 education tracks (each track presented twice) will be published later this month and communicated by email and on the NMEA website.
Manufacturer training slots are still available for Saturday, September 28 (two-hour sessions). The Thursday one-hour sessions are over-subscribed and NMEA will offer an alternate Saturday session to those who cannot be included in the Thursday time-slots.
Manufacturers are also receiving NMEA Product Award nomination forms this week. Manufacturer members should return their nomination form promptly to ensure that products receive maximum exposure and consideration for the 2013 NMEA product awards and the annual BWI Technology award.
According to Bruce Angus, President and Executive Director of the NMEA, the number of participating manufactures in 2013 is more than double the number in 2012.
A schedule of conference events is available on nmea.org.
