NMMA: New Powerboat Registrations Up in US

According to a report from the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), for the first quarter of 2016, new registrations of traditional powerboats and personal watercraft were up 10.5 percent YOY (year over year).

The association says that nearly all powerboat categories posted significant volume quarterly gains. On a rolling twelve-month basis (R12M), corresponding units were up 8.7 percent.

Among high-volume regions, growth was led by the East South region, which includes Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee, up 11.6 percent R12M YOY; and the South Atlantic region, which spans the Atlantic Coast from Delaware south to Florida, up 9.2 percent R12M YOY.
