NMMA Report: November Canadian Outboard Shipments Slow Year-Over-Year Decline


According to a report released by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), wholesale shipments of outboard engines in Canada for the Canadian control group of manufacturers have been downward trending for the past 15 months.  

In November, the pace of decline slowed to -12.4 percent rolling 12-month year-over-year (R12M YOY), a slight improvement from -14.2 percent (R12M YOY) reported by the NMMA for October. Engines 200hp and higher continued to be the bright spot, up 21.5 percent (R12M YOY) while nearly all other powerbands were down, ranging from -4.3 percent to -27.7 percent R12M YOY.  

On a R12M basis, warranty card registrations were down slightly (-1 percent) YOY.
