The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) sent out notice to its members this morning that Canadian outboard engine shipments were up in December (2015) by 18.6 percent compared to December 2014.
The data was collected from the association's control group of manufacturers. Corresponding dollars were up 27.6 percent for the last month of 2015. NMMA also says warranty card registrations were up 2.5 percent in 2015.
The NMMA member companies produce more than 80 percent of the boats, engines, trailers, accessories and gear used by boaters and anglers throughout Canada and the US.
