According to the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), US outboard engine wholesale shipments were up 5.4 percent YOY (year over year) for the 12 months through June among the association's control group of manufacturers. NMMA members are said to represent 95 percent of the market.
Gains continue to be led by four-strokes and higher-powered engines. Total retail sales based on warranty card registrations were up 9.1 percent (R12M YOY).
This month, NMMA debuted its new Inventory Benchmark Report, an inventory analysis for long-term directional trending. The report is exclusively available to those who participate in NMMA's Industry Statistics and Research program.
