Old Mill Marina and Tige Team Up With Reining Canadian National Wakeboard Champion

Old Mill Marina in Dorset, Ontario and Tigé Boats have added a new member to their team.  Reining Canadian National Wakeboard Champion Christian Primrose has joined Team Tigé. He is currently ranked in the top 20 on the WWA Pro Tour.

"Being a part of the Tigé Dealer Council, I saw the preview plans for the [Tigé] ASR and spoke to some of the guys who rode the prototype,' says Jeff Barnes, Director of Sales and Marketing for Old Mill Marina. "I knew we needed a top level Canadian rider to really launch the ASR in Ontario. Christian and I started chatting back in the fall about the ASR project.  Not only is Christian an elite rider but his family just lives and breathes the lifestyle of being on the water in their boat together.'

Primrose will be working closely with Jeff Barnes and the team at Old Mill Marina to debut his new custom Tige ASR Pro Model at the Toronto International Boat Show commencing January 10. He will be one of the featured riders at the wake show at The Indoor Lake as well as assisting customers with purchase decisions in the Tige Booth.

"The Tigé ASR wake is so big and so clean, it will allow me the time and space to land tricks that just aren't possible on other boats,' says Primrose. "I am so excited to get my new ASR on the water and take my riding to the next level. I was really impressed by how nimble the Tigé ASR was even with a full factory ballast load. I really didn't expect the handling to be so easy with the boat weighted down.'

Tigé VP of Sales, Tony Fussell hosted the Primrose's on their trip to the Tigé Factory in Abilene, Texas. "Tigé is very excited to have Christian Primrose on board.  His talent crosses borders and we look forward to having him as a Tigé ambassador in Canada.  We are expecting big things from him on the Pro Tour this year.'

The Tigé ASR comes standard with 3,000 lbs. of ballast, plus an optional surf ballast upgrade hidden beneath the floors and compartments in hard tanks with dedicated pumps.

Tigé Boats, wholly owned by Charlie Pigeon, are manufactured in Abilene, Texas.  Tigé offers three distinct series of wake boats – the Z-series, the RZ-series – family crossover – and the new Apex Series featuring the ASR. The boat builder's design technologies include the Convex hull, TAPS wake shaping and TigéTouch helm control.

Old Mill Marina has two full-service waterfront locations – one in Dorset, Ontario on Lake of Bays and the original location on Kawagama Lake in Haliburton. The dealership and marina represents Tigé, Princecraft, Rinker, and Key West Boats as well as provides service and warranty for Mercury, Mercruiser, Indmar and PCM engines.
