Desmasdon's Boatwork, Point au Baril, Ontario, is now a dealer of Premier pontoon boats. The dealership will have staff working the Premier booth at the upcoming Toronto International Boat Show in January.
Desmasdon's, which also carries SmokerCraft, Grady-White, Key West, Rossiter and Yamaha Waverunners, says it considered several brands of pontoons before deciding on Premier. "After years of deliberation and months of market research, brand research and careful analysis we are pleased to say we felt Premier Pontoon Boats were the best fit for Desmasdon's, for our customers, and for the way we do business,' Matt French, Desmasdon's Director of Sales and Marketing. "We were definitely looking for a premium line. We wanted a brand with lot of options, not only in terms of features, but different layouts as well. Premier is not the biggest but we feel they are the best at what they do.'
French says many of Desmasdon's summertime customers are part of the local island cottage community and need a boat suitable for the rougher waters occasionally experienced on Georgian Bay. "We felt platforms was where the demographic was going and where the market was trending. Pontoons have come a long way from five years ago. Whether you want a new high-performance pontoon with PTX technology and lifting strakes or a conventional pontoon or tri-toon to add some buoyancy and sure-footedness to your boat, Premier and now Desmasdon's has a boat for you.'
In addition to its boat lines, Desmasdon's is also a dealer of Yamaha and Honda outboards, as well as MerCruiser engines.
