Pleasurecraft Marine Engine Company (PCM) has announced the introduction of its new portfolio of watersports engines at the recent 2015 Surf Expo trade show in Orlando, Florida. PCM's new ‘Hyperformance' engines feature direct fuel injection technology.
"We are happy to once again raise the bar for standard and high-output inboard watersports engines through the introduction of our new Hyperformance models, the only direct injection engines offered in the inboard market,' says Mark McKinney, PCM Vice President.
Offered in H5DI and H6DI models, the new engines feature Catanium Clean Emission System, a custom tuned intake manifold and all-aluminum construction (block, heads, intake and exhaust systems). Hyperformance engines utilize an open-loop cooling system.
P new line of engines also retain the same features available on earlier generations such as Adjust-A-Flex Mounting; a Fuel Control System with dual fuel pumps; 10 micron fuel filters; and Power Plus Performance ratio transmissions.
PCM's new engines are developed from automotive blocks supplied by GM Marine.
PCM, a subsidiary of Correct Craft, designs and manufactures inboard engines specifically for watersports from its headquarters in Little Mountain, South Carolina.
